The Magdalen Centre
There’s nowhere quite like The Magdalen Project.
Situated in stunning countryside on the Somerset/Dorset border, The Magdalen Project is both a resource for learning and a place to experience. Set in a conservation area, our vision for Magdalen is to create a vibrant , inspirational environment to be enjoyed by as many people as possible. Join us on Family Grab n’ Eat” day on Tuesday 26th October from 10am to 12pm. Aimed at families who want to visit the farm, search out some food and then cook it over an outdoor fire. This will be a free session but booking is essential. Hot drinks will be available to purchase on the day.

The Wild Garlic
Here at The Wild Garlic we look for well managed locally produced food first, it should be in season and local if possible - if it’s not available, then my feeling is that we should change the menu which we do at least once a day anyway.
The menu is a mix of familiar dishes for those who know my cooking and daily changing of specials and ingredients depending on what’s available on the day.
We always have ‘fish of the day’; it’s very exciting for me to wait and see what seafood comes in that day and then devise a dish or dishes from it. It gives a real freshness and spontaneity to the overall menu and it’s often the dish I’m most proud of.
Anyone interested in coming in for something to eat then I would suggest booking a table as we are very busy and wouldn’t want anyone to be disappointed.
